Parking Access Control Software
Maximize the investment in your parking facility by increasing security, space utilization and revenue generating capabilities.
Used as a stand alone system or in conjunction with a transient Parking Revenue Control system, GateKeeper Parking Access Control (PAC) system offers your customers, tenants or employees, an easy, quick, hands-free process to enter and exit your parking facility. The system provides you the ability to implement new methods for charging users and maintain accurate control over the vehicles in the facility
The Parking Access Control System by GateKeeper Systems provides the vehicle control you need for a wide variety of parking environments. It is designed to be "scalable" - able to fit seamlessly in the simplest installations to the most complex multi use, multi location facility. The software makes major advances in three key areas: Customization, Integration, and Hardware Independence.
Customization
Most current software uses fixed screen layouts and database structures. These are designed by system vendors to try and anticipate the needs of the greatest possible number of potential customers. This usually results in unwanted features and complexity on the customer while failing to provide other needed features.
The solution provided by GateKeeper software is the capability to allow the customer or the integrator to change or create additional data entry forms and database structures containing exactly what the customer needs. The software allows for any number of user defined data entry forms or forms for any other purpose. These forms can contain tabs, photo's, links to other programs like Access or Excel, floor plans and much more. Nor more compromising. Nor more one size fits all approach.
Integration
The use of automated business systems is aimed at increasing efficency, reducing costs and providing better customer service. The number and variety of applications available to business continues to grow at a fantastic rate. However, until recently, technology has not existed to provide the needed level of integration of business and parking applications and has resulted in duplication of data entry, redundant databases and increased the potential for errors. Rapidly changing business needs dictate that parking and vehicle access control systems anticipate the future and provide the capability to be "connected" to other business system to leverage their functions and benefits.
Examples of the potential for sharing data between your parking access control system and other business applications include:
- Utilizing existing database information on employees, tenants, and security systems, Photo ID systems.
- Exporting data for analysis into database or spreadsheet tools such as Access or Excel
- Automatic creation of invoices, credit card transactions, and customer account information by integration with a number of accounting software packages.
GateKeeper System endorses and supports the use of software standards like ActiveX and COM, DCOM, OLE, etc. to create software that is sophisticated under the hood , but easy to use.
Hardware Independence
Every day parking access control customers are forced to purchase entire systems because Brand X software is not compatible with Brand Y hardware components. Frequently compromises are made in purchasing decisions because of a needed feature in either the hardware or software.
GateKeeper software is designed to make use of "drivers" in much the same way as the PC printer industry uses drivers to provide the connection with almost any computer. We are developing a library of drivers to provide the capability to connect with all of the major manufacturers of magnetic stripe cards, proximity cards and full Radio Frequency tags that are being used as "credentials" for access control.
This capability provides customers with the ability to make hardware and software decisions independently and get greater utilization from their systems.
